Here is a really good live cover mash-up of “Double” and “Kitty” by Branden Mann and The Reprimand. Fans of Knott will probably love Mann & The Reprimand – you can listen to all of their releases on their bandcamp site and purchase what you like.

Joshua Lory, current bass player for L.S. Underground and Lifesavers (as well as leading his own excellent bands Western Grace and The Bloody Strummers), is putting together a Michael Knott tribute album for the end of 2012. The goal is to have songs in by September 2012 and then have the CD out by the end of the year. So far the line-up looks amazing, but anyone else interested in being on the tribute should contact Josh by finding him on Facebook. Or let me know and I can pass it along to him.
The site discography has been updated a bit – added a few new items. The list of site updates has been moved to the bottom of the page for those that watch that – you can see the new pages added there.
There are some interesting new Knott projects coming in 2012, as well as some interesting re-issue possibilities – so stay tuned for updates as they became available.
Been quiet around here, but the good news is that the new site design is up and running. The news and discography sections have been moved over to the new look, but if you click around on any other areas you’ll still see the old look. As I get time, I’ll get the whole site moved over. And I also apologize if anything doesn’t work – let me know if anything breaks!
The news section is now run by a blog, which should also make the updates autopost to Facebook (and hopefully soon to Twitter). You can also comment on the news posts if you would like.
I’m also currently working on some biographies for various bands. See the new Lifesavers for a peek at what that will look like.
After that? Hopefully some other new features and some updates on current Knott-related projects.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Lifesavers are recording an album and they need your help. The name of the album will be Dog Days of an Indian Summer and according to the band:
13 songs are written, recording has already begun! This album will be classic Lifesavers Surf/Punk, a soundtrack for Summer if you will. Recording will be done by Joshua Lory at his home studio as well as One Way Studio with Masaki Liu, who will more than likely mix it. Mastering will be done by J. Powell at Steinhaus Mastering. The money we raise here will go to studio cost for recording drums, guitar, and mixing, as well as CD pressing. Those that donate $15.00 and up will receive a download link sent to their email the day the album is finished mixing as well as a copy of the disc before it hits any stores!

Michael Knott has been posting about an upcoming reunion live show for the Aunt Bettys. The word so far is that it will be September 14th at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa, California at 10:30 PM. It is also a free show according to Michael (probably just have to show up real early). All the original members will be playing. Good times!

Intense Millennium Records is a new label that purchased the entire catalog of the Frontline Music Group – which includes many older Michael Knott releases. They plan on re-issuing about 2 albums per month with updated graphics and bonus tracks. There is nothing firm on anything Knott-related, but some online ads have Michael Knott listed among the bands to be re-issued. So go to their Facebook page and request Michael Knott.
