Four new paintings are for sale at the official Michael Knott site. One each from the Swans Series, the Self Portrait Series, and the Serenity Series and another one just called “Scrambled Eggs.” Which reminds me that I am hungry.

Michael “Gerard” Knott and Art Loft 205 have donated a chair for the Chair-ity Benefit. The chair is called “Serenity” and is painted with Knott’s signature angels. Collectors who wish to bid should visit the Claremont Museum of Art between March 21 and April 3 for the silent auction or attend the live auction April 4th at 7pm at the museum. I wish I had the money to bid on this – the Serenity series is my favorite Knott series. But maybe one of you do. I would also love to someday have a painting like this chair.

Michael painted some artwork for the back drop of the Lost Dog’s Cornerstone 2007 concert. The related link will take you to the first image in the set – there are about 14 total pictures. It looks like there are about 6 or so southwest-themed images by Michael Knott.

HM magazine has an online exclusive interview up with Michael Knott. You have to pay to subscribe to the online edition to get to the content, but it is not too expensive. The big news: a new LSU album is coming, and it will be the heaviest one ever recorded. Also, Mike has started an art gallery with his sister called Art Loft gallery (artloft205.com). The bad news? No plans with the Aunt Bettys.
