Lust Control was a punk band that started off as a joke, but ended up developing it’s own fan base and (unusual) niche in the Christian market. They are basically a type of band that uses humor to deal with serious topics and issues while trying not to come across as too serious or too goofy. The members of Lust Control wore masks on stage, and even used fake names in album liner notes. Eventually the secret was let out that Lust Control was run by Doug Van Pelt of HM magazine, and even at one time had members of One Bad Pig.
Most of Lust Control’s albums are either demos or compilations of those demos in various forms. They did record one full length with a label. After recording Feminazi, they went on an extended break. That break ended when they announced that they were reforming, eventually releasing a new album called Tiny Little Dots for Rottweiler Records. |
