Blonde Vinyl Memorial
Scaterd Few
Scaterd Few is a punk band heavily influenced by Jane’s Addiction and Bad Brains. They are considered one of the first Christian punk bands. They combine honest lyrics with top-notch musicianship to create music that is very original.

Their one album recorded for Blonde Vinyl was never completed or released, even though it was re-recorded, completed, and released independently by the band in 1994.

Although there have been no releases by Scaterd Few for over 10 years, there has been discussion of a release of Sin Disease on vinyl. Scaterd Few also has a semi-active Facebook Page. Allan Aguirre has stayed active in worship music with a bands called Men as Trees Walking. Omar Domkus is also active as a session bassist.

Other Information:
This album was actually recorded three times – once for Vox Vinyl (1991), then again for Blonde Vinyl (1992), and finally as an independent project in 1994. The information listed above is for the 1994 independent release, which may or may not be the same as the Blonde Vinyl recordings.

Steve Ruff was able to interview Allan Aguirre recently and had this to add about the Blonde Vinyl contract situation:

“The band signed with Blonde Vinyl in 1992, but that was short lived. The label where they originally tried to make JawBoneOfAnAss pitched a fit and served Blonde Vinyl with cease and desist papers. That left Allan with two versions of the album only 65% done. The first version had Terry Taylor co-producing and Gene Eugene engineering. The second version had Taylor again, and Dave Hackbarth engineering. Broken records wanted in on the album as well, but the original label blocked that also. The album was finally recorded in the fall of ‘93 at Blood’s Knotty Pine Studio. Blood as you may remember was Mark Rodriguez and Gyro & Jerome from Mortal. Mark and Allan engineered and Allan held the reins of producer. JawBoneOfAnAss was finally released at Cornerstone in ’94.”

Post-Blonde Vinyl Career

Allan Aguirre formed Spy Glass Blue in 1995, releasing several albums of gothic music. Several Cygnet songs were re-recorded by Spy Glass Blue.
