ACM Journal #1 listed a new album for Sincerely Paul coming out in Fall 1989 on Lightening Records, but that might have been speculation.

A second album was begun, with the tentative working title being “Ego-Mine.” Only about 3-4 songs were completed and played live.
Jim Preston Strawn went on to form Slide, which recorded one song for a demo compilation on R.E.X. Records. The remaining 4 original members of SP (minus Jim) went on to form Big Ox Laughing and later, Laughing Stock, performing and recording through the mid 1990’s.

Where is Mike H.?
These guys were AWESOME! Unfortunately they get no respect. They were even left out of the Christian Music Encyclopedia :(. Where is the double disk? Best song: Darkness Blinds You (It was great live, as was Nineteen Years.) I was friends with Mike Baker in the late 80’s/early 90’s. I hope he’s doing well.
A friend booked both Sincerely Paul and Dancehouse Children for a concert in Tucson. I was working as a DJ at a Christian radio station at the time and the guys from Sincerely Paul stayed at my place the night before the concert. They were all great guys. The concert got cancelled because it was held in a church and the neighbors complained of noise. Sheesh! I’m excited to see that there’s an official website now. This was a band that had so much potential. A new release from them would be greatly welcomed.
Slide are back and sounding awesome. myspace.com/slide
