Blonde Vinyl Memorial
Lifesavers Underground
Lifesavers Underground (aka L.S.U. and L.S. Underground) is one of the major ground breaking bands in Christian music history. LSU was really always Michael Knott and whoever he could get to play with him on various albums.

The sound of LSU has changed through the years, but it can always be described as aggressive alternative. Other influences are also evident on each release, from gothic to grunge to industrial. Grape Prophet and World Tour also seem to have been heavily influenced by Echo & the Bunnymen and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Shaded Pain is still considered a classic album, as it is really the album that open up the doors for Christian artists to talk openly and honestly about the pain of life.

L.S. Underground continues to be somewhat active, recently releasing their heaviest album to date with PTSD.

Pre-Blonde Vinyl Career

Started off as The Lifesavors, before changing their name to Lifesavers Underground and releasing the classic Shaded Pain album. See the full L.S.Underground discography for more details.

ACM Journal #1 listed a new album for L.S. Underground coming out in Fall 1989 on Crystal Records, but that might have been speculation (or an early name for Blonde Vinyl Records).
