Another album produced by Michael Knott. Every Day Life is also known as E.D.L. and they played rap metal music (before it became cliche). EDL went through five record companies before landing with Alarma Records for the first album Disgruntled. Tedd Cookerly went to a store to buy tape for the recording of that album and met Knott there.
When the band started talking about producers for a second album, they started thinking about getting Knott to produce. EDL and the Aunt Bettys were getting a lot of attention and press around the same time in the same publications, plus the band wanted to be involved in the Green Room scene. Cookerly later indicated that Knott, Gene Eugene, and others may have uncredited appearances on American Standard – for example, Knott adding vocals to “Love Lies.”
Cookerly gave his son the middle name Michael because of Knott’s influence on his life.

I love this album. It is one of those you can listen to every song without skipping through. I just need to find out how to get it again because it got scratched. I also saw EDL live. We did security for them. They are good people. Good show too.
