Concert Stories
Unknown author (please let me know if this is you):
“L.S.U.’s set was shut down early by police due to some noise complaints from the area and his set was cut short. There was then an impromptu acoustic set in the tent that included the Prayer Chain and Michael Roe. They made Knott take off his dress before the impromptu set. L.S.U. got to finish their set the following night as the last act of the festival. They gave Knott a sledge hammer and he pounded holes in the stage.”
David Vanderpoel:
“I recall walking across the stage at I.S. Fest ’93 during ‘Tether to Tassel’ to tell Knott that behind him were two police officers come to take him off of the stage. The band played as I shouted at Knott, who then, with his back to them, said simply, ‘Stop.’ The band did, as if rehearsed, on that beat.”
