Ryan Lee Mead recorded and released this track as a tribute to Michael Knott, with several nods to Knott songs such as “Rocket and a Bomb” and “Double.” Andrew Wesley Carter (Aunt Bettys, L.S.U.) recorded and mixed the song, as well as provided backing vocals. The cover art features a painting by Michael Gerard Knott and Brian Healy. Mead had also formed a band from 1996-2004 called GoForth with Carter and Chuck Cummings.
